Fences

'We used to uncover the pool every year, we'd all go out there and enjoy ourselves. But we haven't this year. When he's better again we will'.

This series is a documentation of lives spent waiting. A loved one becomes sick and life is on hold until things get back to normal.
Overgrown shrubs, unused furniture, fallen down trees. All on hold for a better day. Memories of times spent together and hope for more sundays in the pool.

Perfection

The people you'll meet at 5am..

Black Friday continued..

The Aftermath

Friday 27th November - 5am

This year instead of photographing the parade, I decided to take a look at the evidence of a mass amount of people gathering to watch it.

Black Friday Competition Entry

Friday 27th November

'I found myself in the lobby of Macy’s right before the doors were opened. The moments leading up to it were tense, the security guards steadied themselves –

I braced myself for the onslaught of crazed shoppers and hoped for the best.

These were the same sane people that I had seen queuing outside not moments before suddenly involved in a full on sprint to be the first one inside Macy’s. At 5am'.

All I need is all I got

Like a little bit of advice right there in the sky...

Thanksgiving

Thursday 26th November

Why is it presumed that you have to be of a certain faith to celebrate thanksgiving - shouldn't we all be thankful?

The Annex

Sunday 22nd November

This is the annex at the bottom of the garden. The kids used to play in it. Now it holds all the things they don't have space for in the house. Like the things it holds, the annex remains forgotten. Even they don't remember what they put in there.

Moments

Saturday 21st Novemeber

There is about 10 minutes at the end of the day when the light fades and the night starts to appear - it happens rather quickly but is a beautiful time of half shadows and highlights. Blink and you'd miss it.

Breakfast dishes in the evening

How are you today

Wednesday 18th Nov

This was how I felt today - like the world was constantly moving and changing but I was rooted to the spot - waiting for a train.

MPD

Monday 16th November

' I'd like to try doing it at all hours of the day, especially if Sex in the City is to be believed and all the street-walkers come out at night'.
